Hong Kong and Macao residents, as well as international visitors living, working or traveling in Luohu, now have access to a new healthcare option within walking distance of the two checkpoints in the district.

The international medical department of Shenzhen Luohu Hospital Group, located on the third floor of the International Foreign Trade Center, has officially begun trial operations, according to the hospital group. 

Benefiting from its proximity to the Luohu Checkpoint, a quality-control system aligned with that of a Grade 3A hospital, and integrated support services, the department provides cross-border visitors with a convenient, one-stop healthcare channel immediately after customs clearance.

The department is located a short distance from both the Luohu Checkpoint and the Wenjindu Checkpoint, allowing cross-border visitors to reach it on foot after completing customs procedures. It is also approximately 300 meters from Exit B of Guomao Station on Metro Line 1.

The international medical department has integrated multidisciplinary resources and brought together medical professionals from several specialties, including general practice, traditional Chinese medicine, dentistry, ophthalmology, endocrinology, gynecology and ultrasound.

It has established an integrated service system covering health checkups, outpatient consultations and inpatient care. To address the health-management needs of cross-border people, the department has also introduced a specialized longevity clinic. The clinic focuses on personalized health interventions, including scientific weight management, intestinal flora regulation, and the management and conditioning of chronic diseases.

To better accommodate overseas medical practices and preferences, the department has introduced a range of service improvements. These include a dedicated clinic for Hong Kong residents, multi-currency payment options and remote consultations.

The department has also implemented a “one doctor, one patient, one consultation room” model throughout the consultation process and operates primarily by appointment. Separate service routes are available for male and female patients.

Medical services are offered in English, Cantonese and Mandarin. Core medical technologies are maintained at the same level as those at the main campus of Shenzhen Luohu Hospital Group, with the department sharing the group’s Grade 3A medical resources and quality-control system.
