Greater Bay Area’s 1st immersive space-themed park set for Sept. 10 launch in Luohu

The first immersive space-themed amusement park in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (Greater Bay Area) is scheduled to open September 10 at the B1 level of Blocks D and E at Shum Yip Tai Fu International Plaza in Luohu District.
Named Shenzhen Space•Tianque Space Park, the attraction is developed by One Star Space (Beijing) Aerospace Technology Co. and will be operated by Beijing Yixing Langyu Technology Co. The park is designed to turn advanced aerospace technology into tangible and immersive experiences for the public.
Covering 3,800 square meters, the park includes 21 themed experience zones centered on the concept of “space technology + digital art + space culture.” Visitors will follow a complete space mission journey, ranging from rocket launches and satellite orbit insertion to life aboard a space station, lunar exploration and missions to Mars. Each visitor will take on the role of a “trainee astronaut” and begin an individual interstellar adventure.
The park places a strong emphasis on high-fidelity replicas and hands-on experiences. Its highlights include a life-size replica of the Tianhe core module of China’s space station, along with authentic aerospace artifacts such as re-entered rocket debris, a fully disassembled 130-kilogram extravehicular spacesuit, a re-entry capsule and giant parachutes.

The facility also features a satellite command and control center, engine-test simulation systems with synchronized light, sound and vibration effects, a holographic dome theater and 7D motion ride vehicles. Through multisensory simulations, visitors can experience the sound of rocket engines, the sensation of weightlessness and the impact of planetary landings.
Unlike traditional science education based primarily on observation, 90 percent of the park’s zones will support hands-on interaction and role-playing. Upon arrival, visitors will receive an astronaut mission manual and take part in activities including mission-based challenges, space science classes and themed carnivals.
With guidance from professional instructors, complex aerospace concepts will be presented in an accessible and engaging format. Visitors may press a rocket ignition button, work with teammates to deploy a satellite into orbit or touch simulated lunar soil at the park’s “Guanghan Palace” moon base.
By turning mathematical formulas and physical principles into practical activities, the park aims to deepen young visitors’ understanding of mathematics and physics, connect extracurricular experiences with classroom learning, and encourage scientific thinking.
