Two Luohu-based firms named to 2026 Fortune China 500 list

Two firms headquartered in Luohu District, China Gas Holdings Ltd. and Shenzhen Zhongjin Lingnan Nonfemet Co., have secured spots on the newly released 2026 Fortune China 500 ranking.
Published officially by Fortune China on July 21, the annual list evaluates China's largest corporate entities based primarily on their annual revenues. The 2026 ranking reflects an expanded scale for China's leading businesses. Combined data show that the 500 ranked companies generated total revenues of US$14.26 trillion in 2025, up 0.3% year on year, indicating a steady upward trajectory in corporate profitability.
The entry threshold for this year’s list stood at approximately US$3.54 billion. The aggregate revenue of the listed companies approached three-quarters of China’s 2025 gross domestic product, underscoring their role as critical drivers of the national economy.
From a regional perspective, Guangdong Province contributed 74 companies to the list, with Shenzhen alone accounting for 35. Among the Shenzhen-based entries, Luohu’s China Gas Holdings and Shenzhen Zhongjin Lingnan Nonfemet Co. successfully ranked at No. 259 and No. 282 respectively, demonstrating the district's industrial strength in the real economy and integrated energy sectors.
China Gas: expanding clean energy footprint
China Gas ranked 259th on this year's list, reporting a revenue of US$9.4418 billion for fiscal year 2025. The company has maintained a consistent presence on the Fortune China 500 since 2016.
With its operational headquarters in Shenzhen, China Gas has spent over two decades developing a diversified, full-sector energy business. While urban gas remains its core business, the group has expanded into a wide range of fields, including: Pipeline natural gas and long-distance pipeline networks, LNG/LPG storage, transportation, and distribution, biomass energy and energy-efficient heat pumps, source-grid-load-storage integration and industrial/commercial energy storage, and power distribution, power sales, and smart low-carbon parks.
To date, China Gas operates across 30 provincial-level administrative regions in China, covering more than 660 cities through 660 urban gas concession projects. Its gas pipeline network spans 580,000 kilometers, serving more than 60 million residential users and more than 500,000 commercial and industrial users.
Employing 80,000 people across more than 1,700 subsidiaries, China Gas is one of China's largest city gas operators in terms of geographic coverage and customer base, supporting urban and rural low-carbon energy transition.
Zhongjin Lingnan: growing real-economy and global assets
Ranked 282nd, Zhongjin Lingnan climbed five places from a year ago. The company has now appeared on the Fortune China 500 list for 17 consecutive years.
In 2025, Zhongjin Lingnan recorded total annual revenue of 60.54 billion yuan, representing a 7.19% increase year on year. The real economy division served as the main driver of growth, accounting for 96.19% of total revenue and surging 22.8% year on year. Total annual profits for the company reached 1.12 billion yuan, supported by milestones in mineral reserve expansion, production increases, capital market operations, and internal restructuring.
As a major player in China's nonferrous metals industry, Zhongjin Lingnan operates an international supply chain covering copper, lead, and zinc mining, beneficiation, and smelting, as well as the recovery of precious, rare, and scattered metals such as gold, silver, gallium, germanium, and indium. The firm supports its operations with several research platforms, including a national-level technology center and a postdoctoral research workstation.
Additionally, the company has secured tens of millions of tons of nonferrous metal resources through overseas mine acquisitions and exploration projects, with a potential value exceeding 100 billion yuan, establishing a strong position in global resource allocation.

From Luohu's perspective, the simultaneous inclusion of China Gas and Zhongjin Lingnan on the 2026 Fortune China 500 is a significant result of the district's long-term efforts to cultivate leading enterprises and strengthen the real economy. The achievements of these two companies in integrated energy and advanced manufacturing highlight the district's balanced industrial structure and corporate resilience.
