Luohu unveils renewed digital creative hub

A ceremony was held on June 16 to mark the official opening of the DoBe·Shenzhen Media Digital Creative Park (DoBePARK) and the newly rebranded Yijing Digital Creative Valley in Huangbei Subdistrict, Luohu.
At the event, several companies — including Jucheng (theater and performance agency), Epro (software), Kawasaki Sports, and MathConcept (education) — signed intention agreements with Luohu’s cultural authorities to settle in the block.
The Yijing Digital Creative Valley primarily comprises three core carriers: the Animation Tower, DoBePARK, and the Luohu Library and Youth Palace complex. Together, the library and youth palace occupy 77,000 square metres. The library is China’s first HarmonyOS‑powered smart library, where readers can scan a QR code to borrow and return books and consult with a digital human librarian. The Youth Palace houses 44 professional training rooms and offers programs across 12 fields — including sports, dance, instrumental music, chess, mathematics, fine arts, calligraphy, and STEM. The facility can accommodate up to 4,000 young people simultaneously. The complex also includes an incubator for startups, a 462‑seat Luohu Pioneer Theater, and a 262‑seat Red Scarf Theater, all equipped to host performances, brand launches, and conferences.
The Animation Tower, a national animation industry base, has approximately 49,000 square meters of floor space and hosts companies in animation, game design, and new retail.
DoBePARK, with about 26,500 square meters, focuses on film and television production, digital creativity, AI applications, digital marketing, and live‑streaming. It is home to industry leaders such as Yowant Technology’s Greater Bay Area headquarters, SuperEmpowerment, and China Broadcasting and Television Media, and operates three incubators for short dramas, digital advertising, and game development. The park also features trendy retail, including Haier’s first South China store for exoskeleton devices and Shiteng Coffee’s first Greater Bay Area outlet.
Throughout June and July, more than 30 cultural events — including stand‑up comedy and open‑mic improv nights — will be held in the valley, with regular future programs such as digital art fairs and animation carnivals planned to engage local residents.
By the end of 2025, Luohu had 132 enterprises above the designated size in the digital creative industry, generating over 10 billion yuan in total revenue, a 22% year‑on‑year increase, solidifying the sector as a key driver of the district's growth.
