Luohu's Yucun community recognized among China's top volunteer service models

Yucun community in Shenzhen's Luohu district has been included in the publicized list of outstanding examples under the 2025 National "Four 100" Volunteer Service Program, highlighting the district's achievements in community volunteerism and grassroots governance.
Located in Nanhu subdistrict, Yucun community has emerged as a model for integrating volunteer services into everyday community life. The community has 1,028 registered volunteers, who play an active role in a wide range of public service and neighborhood initiatives.
The recognition follows a series of honors received by Luohu communities in recent years. After Wenhua community in Huangbei subdistrict was named a "Guangdong Provincial Most Beautiful Volunteer Service Community" in 2020 and Chengdong community in Dongmen subdistrict received the same title in 2025, Yucun community achieved an even greater milestone by being named both a "Guangdong Provincial Most Beautiful Volunteer Service Community" and a "National Most Beautiful Volunteer Service Community" in 2026.
With Yucun's latest recognition, Luohu now boasts one national-level and three provincial-level most beautiful volunteer service communities, reflecting the district's evolution from pioneering volunteer service initiatives to building a comprehensive and sustainable volunteer service system.
According to local authorities, Luohu had more than 340,000 registered volunteers and 1,472 volunteer service teams in 2025. Together, they organized nearly 80,000 volunteer activities and contributed more than 1.04 million hours of service throughout the year.
