Shenzhen's Shuibei jewelry hub eyes global opportunities ahead of APEC forum

Shenzhen's Shuibei, widely known as "China's Jewelry Capital," is set to attract renewed international attention from the global gold and jewelry industry as the APEC Small and Medium Enterprises Business Forum is scheduled to be held in Luohu district in late June, 2026.
The event is expected to bring representatives from multiple APEC member economies to Shuibei, where they will gain firsthand insight into Shenzhen's strengths in jewelry design innovation, precision manufacturing and integrated supply chains, while exploring opportunities for international cooperation.
Located in Luohu district, Shuibei is one of China's largest jewelry industry clusters. The area is home to a dense network of professional markets, brand showrooms and industry service providers, forming a comprehensive ecosystem that spans design, production, trading and retail.
Among the local companies showcasing Shuibei's development is Zhouliufu Jewelry, a homegrown industry leader that has been rooted in the district for more than two decades. The company was listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange in 2025, marking a new stage in its international expansion.
Founded in 2004, Zhouliufu has built a nationwide retail network covering major shopping centers and commercial districts across China. The company currently ranks fourth in market share within China's jewelry sector.
Leveraging Shuibei's complete industrial chain in design and research, manufacturing, exhibition and trading, and talent development, Zhouliufu has established an integrated supply chain spanning research and design, intelligent manufacturing, quality control, smart logistics and retail operations.
From raw material sourcing and product development to manufacturing and distribution, the company maintains end-to-end management across its operations, supplying products to more than 3,000 retail stores nationwide.
The company is also accelerating its international expansion. In September 2024, Zhouliufu opened its first overseas store in Pattaya, Thailand, and has since expanded its presence into markets including Laos, Vietnam and Malaysia.
Deng Jun, deputy general manager of Zhouliufu Jewelry Co., Ltd., noted that products featuring Chinese cultural elements have been well received in overseas markets.
She expressed her hope to leverage the APEC forum in Shenzhen to present more international visitors with the unique charm of Eastern aesthetics, thereby further promoting Chinese jewelry culture on the global stage.
