Luohu District has opened dedicated non-motorized vehicle lanes at several key traffic nodes, including Honghu West Overpass, Heping Overpass, Honggui Overpass, Wenjinbei Interchange and Xinxiu Interchange.

The upgrades aim to make cycling safer and more convenient by separating bicycles and e-bikes from motor vehicle traffic. Local transport authorities optimized road space at major ramps and bridge sections without affecting overall traffic flow.

The new lanes are protected by guardrails and equipped with clear signs, directional arrows and reflective markings, helping reduce mixed-traffic risks and improve safety at night and in low-light areas.

With the upgrades, several major interchanges in Luohu now allow motor vehicles and non-motorized vehicles to travel in separate, designated lanes.
