The 2026 Honghu Park Bowl Lotus Planting Event, together with the 12th Shenzhen "Ode to the Lotus" Citizen Planting Day, returned as scheduled. Paired with a spring-themed market, the event offered a unique seasonal experience combining science education, hands-on planting, and leisure exploration—bringing a touch of nature-inspired poetry into urban life.

The event took place over the weekend, from 14:00 to 17:00 on March 28 and 29, 2026. Co-hosted by Honghu Park and KK TIME Shopping Mall, it featured bowl lotus planting workshops and nature-themed lectures. Participants learned practical planting skills while also discovering the park’s birdlife, often described as “feathered spirits,” and enjoyed the tranquil beauty of lotus blossoms.

Following the lecture, participants moved to the Chaoyang Slope lawn in Honghu Park to plant lotus roots by hand and experience the growth process up close. Professional instructors provided guidance throughout, making it easy even for children to grow their very first bowl lotus.

The event was open to the public. Each session was limited to 100 participants. Each adult was allowed to bring one child, and each pair received one bowl lotus planting kit.
