Luohu DoBePark opens as new creative and cultural landmark

Luohu DoBePark has officially opened to the public, marking the transformation of the former Shenzhen National Animation and Comics Industry Base into a modern, multifunctional creative park. The renewed site preserves its industrial character and broadcasting heritage while incorporating contemporary facilities and digital creative elements, creating a mixed-use space that brings together culture, technology and innovation. It is positioned as both a hub for the digital creative industry and a new destination for leisure, tourism and festive experiences.
To celebrate the opening, the park is hosting a series of Spring Festival-themed activities from Feb. 9 to 16, running daily from 10:00 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. The program includes cultural markets, calligraphy sessions and family photography services, offering visitors a one-stop experience to rediscover the festive atmosphere of the Chinese New Year. Traditional snacks and handmade New Year crafts are available throughout the event period, while calligraphy artists will write Spring Festival couplets and "Fu" characters (meaning "blessing" in Chinese) for visitors on Feb. 10. On Feb. 14, professional photographers will provide free family photo sessions, capturing moments of reunion and celebration.
The park's full renovation is still under way and is expected to be completed in 2026. The final layout will feature five themed zones designed to meet diverse leisure and cultural needs. These include a musical fountain area that serves as a popular interactive space for families, a themed activity plaza equipped with greenery, seating and outdoor umbrellas for markets and events, a carousel that evokes childhood memories, a relaxation zone for visitors seeking a slower pace, and mobile retail vehicles jointly operated with partner brands.
