Luohu kicks off APEC-themed business support event

A seminar on outbound finance, taxation, and cross-border order acquisition was held on Feb. 6 in Luohu, jointly organized by Guiyuan sub-district and the Shenzhen Association of Trade in Services. The event marked the launch of Luohu's "Leveraging APEC, Safeguarding Enterprise Globalization" series, designed to help local companies capture new opportunities arising from the upcoming APEC Summit.
More than 100 representatives from high‑end manufacturing, digital services, cross-border retail, and international logistics attended the session to explore emerging avenues in the Asia‑Pacific market. As Shenzhen's first APEC-themed support activity built through government coordination and multi-party resource integration, the event addressed the concerns of small and medium-sized enterprises that are eager — but hesitant — to expand overseas. Organizers aimed to equip companies with clearer roadmaps and practical tools for global operations.
Shenzhen will host the 2026 APEC Summit, marking China's third time entering "APEC Time" after Shanghai and Beijing. The summit is expected to serve as a major platform for member economies to deepen cooperation and development, while opening new channels for Chinese enterprises seeking to expand abroad.
"Previously, we were exploring opportunities on our own and only had a vague understanding of what APEC could bring. This session gave us a concrete starting point," said Ma Li, vice president of Beijing RenheSoft Co., Ltd.
As the APEC window approaches, Luohu is accelerating the formation of an ecosystem in which government provides guidance, associations build platforms, enterprises take the lead, and professionals offer targeted support. With this structure taking shape, the prospects for local companies to enter Asia‑Pacific markets and strengthen their global footprint are becoming increasingly clear.
