Luohu launches scenario-driven accelerator to upgrade gold and jewelry industry

A key event aimed at accelerating the intelligent upgrading of traditional industries was held on Jan.23 at Yuehai City in Shenzhen, marking the official launch of a new round of industry empowerment initiatives driven by real-world application scenarios.
The event saw the inauguration of the first phase of the Pi Innovation Space Sci-Tech Industry Accelerator, alongside the release of application scenarios for the gold and jewelry industry. It signals a shift toward a scenario-driven innovation model, in which industrial needs directly guide technological solutions.
Targeting the gold and jewelry sector—one of Luohu's traditional pillar industries—the accelerator adopts a precise matching mechanism. Leading enterprises release real production and transformation demands, while innovation teams provide targeted technical solutions, offering a replicable model for high-quality industrial upgrading.
Pi Innovation Space is now ready for operation, with six enterprises confirmed as the first batch of residents. Beyond providing office space, the platform will offer integrated support services including incubation guidance, financing connections, market expansion, and technology collaboration.
The accelerator focuses on key bottlenecks facing the gold and jewelry industry, such as flexible manufacturing, design innovation, refined supply chain management, and digital marketing transformation.
Rather than serving as a one-off matchmaking platform, Pi Innovation Space aims to build a sustainable closed-loop ecosystem driven by demand, technology breakthroughs, resource integration, and value realization. Going forward, the platform is expected to form a dynamic map of industrial technology needs and establish long-term matching mechanisms, enabling industrial upgrading demands to be continuously translated into innovation-driven outcomes and attracting more high-quality technology, capital, and talent to the region.
