Sungang cultural and sports center reopens after upgrade

On Sept. 17, the Sungang Subdistrict Comprehensive Cultural and Sports Center reopened after a major upgrade, marking the launch of Luohu's first street-level cultural and sports facility built and operated with social sector participation.
Covering about 2,600 square meters in Tianxin Community, the center is designed as a multipurpose “third space” that integrates fitness, learning, and leisure for local residents.
The center features a wide range of sports facilities, including a tennis area with smart ball machines, a table tennis zone with professional lighting and flooring, a basketball court with both mini and standard sections, and a fully equipped gym with strength and cardio equipment.
A new rehabilitation area provides personalized recovery programs with professional trainers. The entire facility supports online booking and self-service lighting controls.
Beyond sports, the center also offers training courses such as AI office tools, video editing, tea art, and floral design, alongside quiet study rooms for students and professionals. It aims to serve all age groups as a lifelong learning hub.
Targeting young people, the center includes reading corners, social spaces, and classrooms for art, music, and cultural workshops. It also hosts creative markets, salons, and community events, creating a lively space for cultural exchange and social interaction.
With its all-in-one design, upgraded facilities, and accessible services, the Sungang Cultural and Sports Center provides residents with a convenient venue for fitness, learning, and community life, further enriching Luohu's cultural and social landscape.
