Driverless logistics fleet set to begin operations in Luohu

A fleet of autonomous logistics vehicles capable of self-driving, obstacle avoidance, and obeying traffic rules is about to start "working shifts" on the streets of Luohu district.
Five unmanned logistics routes will soon open across Dongxiao, Donghu Qingshuihe, Sungang, and Liantang subdistricts. The vehicles will operate daily during three peak periods: 6:00–7:00, 9:00–17:30, and 19:30–23:00.
The fleet is jointly provided by JD Logistics and Rino.ai, featuring their latest-generation intelligent delivery models.
JD Logistics has deployed its sixth-generation "Lone Wolf" smart delivery vehicle, offering L4-level autonomous driving. With a cargo space of four cubic meters and a payload of up to 1,000 kilograms, the vehicle can reach speeds of 60 km/h and cover 160 kilometers on a single charge. It integrates high-precision positioning, sensor fusion, behavior prediction, simulation, and intelligent networking technologies, with 360-degree camera and radar coverage. A swappable battery system enables 24-hour continuous operation in complex road and weather conditions.
Rino.ai's R5 model also achieves L4-level autonomous driving with advanced multi-sensor perception. The vehicle provides 5.5 cubic meters of cargo space, carries up to 800 kilograms, and can handle as many as 600 parcels per load. It reaches a top speed of 45 km/h and a maximum range of 120 kilometers when fully loaded. Designed for efficiency, the R5 can be recharged from a standard power outlet and flexibly dispatched around the clock via a mobile app.
