Luohu-Hong Kong culture month lights up the summer

From July 11 to August 11, the 2025 Luohu-Hong Kong Culture Month is bringing fresh energy to the twin cities with a month-long celebration of art, music, food and cultural exchange. More than 30 events across five weekends are turning Shenzhen and Hong Kong into a vibrant cultural corridor, seamlessly linking major shopping districts through free cross-border buses. The festival not only illustrates the close geographical ties of “a river apart, water connected,” but also highlights the shared roots and intertwined cultures of the two cities, offering residents and global visitors an immersive experience of the Greater Bay Area’s charm.
During the opening weekend, crowds flocked to the Golden Beer Festival and the Dongmen Esports Music Festival, enjoying craft brews, lively performances, and intense gaming matches. In the weeks ahead, visitors can look forward to cycling tours marking 60 years of Dongjiang water supply to Hong Kong, cloud technology fairs, pet-friendly carnivals, and cutting-edge art shows, bringing endless excitement to the summer calendar.
As part of the festival, Luohu has also unveiled a series of initiatives to enhance its cultural tourism appeal. These include a streamlined cross-border travel mechanism for international visitors, a one-stop service hub at Luohu Port, and the launch of free weekend shuttle buses connecting Causeway Bay in Hong Kong with Shenzhen’s landmark malls. Local businesses, from hotels and restaurants to jewelry and healthcare providers, are stepping up to deliver premium experiences for travelers. An official mini program has been launched to give visitors easy access to event updates, travel tips, and discounts, making it easier than ever to explore Luohu.
With cultural energy flowing across the border and a rich lineup of activities, Luohu-Hong Kong Culture Month is set to create lasting memories and strengthen ties between the two cities.
