Dongmen esports music festival set to energize Luohu this summer

Shenzhen’s Luohu District will host the 2025 Dongmen E-sports Music Festival at Dongmen Old Street Plaza from July 11 to 16, bringing together e-sports competitions, live music, and vibrant street culture in a landmark event that highlights Luohu’s drive for cultural innovation and urban vitality.
As one of the flagship activities of the 2025 Luohu Shenzhen-Hong Kong Culture Month, the festival highlights ongoing efforts to advance cultural and tourism integration while fostering cross-border exchanges with Hong Kong.
The festival will feature a series of high-profile e-sports competitions, including a King of Glory exhibition match on July 11, showcasing top teams from Shenzhen; the League of Legends: Wild Rift finals on July 12, where elite players will battle for the championship; and the 12th King of Glory National Tournament on July 13, celebrating grassroots e-sports culture and its nationwide appeal.
These events aim to cement Luohu's reputation as a hub for China's rapidly growing e-sports industry, attracting both professional players and gaming enthusiasts.
Complementing the competitive energy of e-sports, the festival will host live performances from local bands, vibrant cosplay and dance shows, and a creative street market. Visitors can explore a diverse array of offerings, from gaming merchandise and cultural goods to innovative crafts and specialty foods—providing a rich, multi-sensory cultural and consumer experience.
As a key feature of the Shenzhen-Hong Kong Culture Month, the festival reflects Luohu's strategic focus on strengthening cultural cooperation and promoting shared development across the two cities. Throughout the month-long program, Luohu will collaborate with cultural and tourism enterprises to link diverse activities into a cohesive platform for exchange and innovation.
By integrating culture, tourism, sports, and consumption, the district seeks to reinforce its identity as a dynamic and inclusive urban center while contributing to the coordinated development of the cultural and tourism industries in Shenzhen and Hong Kong.
