Shenzhen Metro Line 8 is expected to begin initial operation later this year, bringing metro service to Dapeng for the first time. Recently, a major construction milestone was achieved on Phase III of the project, as the final set of welding joints was successfully completed, marking the connection of the main line rails. This development lays a solid foundation for the next stage of trial operation.
Once completed, Phase III of Line 8 will connect seamlessly with Phase I and II of Line 8, as well as Line 2 and Phase III of Line 2. The full route will form a key transit corridor, linking the districts of Nanshan, Futian, Luohu, Yantian and Dapeng.
