Following the launch of Shenzhen’s first centralized instant tax refund site at the MixC shopping mall, Luohu district has now opened its first such facility at the Sun Department Store in Dongmen Pedestrian Street, one of the city's most vibrant and historic commercial hubs.
This marks Luohu's second instant tax refund location, offering overseas shoppers the convenience of receiving immediate cash refunds after making purchases at designated stores — without the need to visit customs offices for processing.
The initial rollout includes 66 participating stores, primarily featuring fashion and apparel brands, allowing for a seamless, one-stop shopping experience tailored to visitors.
Dongmen Pedestrian Street boasts a history of over 300 years and is one of Shenzhen’s most mature and expansive commercial zones. With more than 12,000 businesses, it blends retail, dining, entertainment, tourism, leisure, and office services. Widely recognized as a signature landmark of Shenzhen, it remains a top destination for both domestic and international tourists, once recording a single-day visitor peak of over 1 million.
Home to three major border checkpoints, Luohu district continues to expand its network of departure tax refund shopping locations, striving to deliver a more efficient and traveler-friendly tax refund experience for global consumers.
