Luohu releases draft plan for territorial space ecological protection and restoration

The Luohu Branch of the Shenzhen Municipal Planning and Natural Resources Bureau has recently released the draft of the “Shenzhen Luohu District Territorial Space Ecological Protection and Restoration Plan (2025–2035).” The draft is now open for public consultation, with the feedback period running through May 9, 2025.
Anchored in the philosophy that lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets, the plan aligns with China’s broader vision of sustainable development and ecological civilization. It emphasizes high-quality development, improved living standards, and forward-looking governance.
The plan aims to strengthen the stability of Luohu’s ecological structure, enhance the resilience of its ecosystems, promote the overall health of natural environments, and increase the value derived from ecological services. In addition, it explores innovative approaches to achieving a harmonious balance between urban development and nature within one of the most densely populated urban cores of a mega-city.
