Luohu hosts industrial tourism exchange for the Greater Bay Area

On March 25, the Greater Bay Area Industrial Tourism Exchange and the pre-event press conference for the Guangzhou Tourism Expo’s industrial exhibition zone kicked off at the ADC Art & Design Center in Shenzhen's Luohu District. The event brought together representatives from over 50 industrial tourism demonstration sites and more than 40 research and study institutions to explore new models for developing industrial tourism.
"Luohu is leveraging industrial tourism to integrate its manufacturing resources and create distinctive travel routes, driving the synergy between industry and urban development," said Chen Hao, president of the Luohu Tourism Industry Association. He emphasized that as one of Shenzhen’s oldest districts, Luohu is revitalizing its traditional manufacturing sector by blending it with modern tourism.
Chen also called for greater collaboration within the Greater Bay Area’s tourism sector to build a dynamic industrial tourism ecosystem that showcases the region’s strengths.
Wu Shaobin, executive director of Hundred Industries Lighthouse, stressed the need to go beyond factory tours and embrace a multidimensional approach combining immersive experiences, educational programs, and cultural branding. He outlined a strategy for advancing industrial tourism and pledged to integrate top domestic resources to create high-quality tourism experiences.
The ADC Art & Design Center, Asia’s largest soft furnishing and aesthetics hub, was a highlight of the exchange. Peng Yanhua, head of external affairs at the center, introduced six themed tourism routes covering heritage crafts, international home furnishings, and more. With a 200,000-square-meter art space and over 200 annual cultural events, ADC has become a landmark for Shenzhen’s cultural tourism, seamlessly blending art and industry for a unique visitor experience.
