Hong Kong and Luohu agree to intensify exchanges and cooperation
About 30 lawmakers, political advisors, and civil servants from Hong Kong, including nine members of the Hong Kong Legislative Council, recently visited three ports—Luohu, Liantang, and Wenjindu—in Luohu to explore new cooperation models.
Senior Luohu officials Xia Dong, Lai Jianhua, and Huang Jianfeng also took part in the activity, holding a symposium with Hong Kong visitors and introducing Luohu’s strengths as an ideal investment destination for Hong Kong business people.
The two sides held in-depth discussions on building exchange mechanisms, communication on ecological preservation, creating cross-border cultural and sport activity brands, and promoting exchanges among young people in Shenzhen and Hong Kong.
Currently, about 39,200 Hong Kong people live in Luohu, where nearly 6,500 Hong Kong enterprises operate.
