Greater Bay Area Auto Show records strong sales
The 2026 (30th) Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area International Auto Show concluded on June 7 at the Shenzhen World Exhibition & Convention Center, drawing more than 810,000 visitors and generating vehicle orders worth approximately 8.25 billion yuan.
The exhibition occupied 11 indoor halls and outdoor display areas, covering a total area of 300,000 square meters. The event showcased a broad spectrum of the automotive industry, including complete vehicles, supply chain technologies and emerging mobility innovations.
According to organizers, the show recorded orders for 39,253 vehicles during the exhibition period, underscoring continued consumer interest in the automotive market.
Held alongside the exhibition, the Shenzhen Intelligent Connected New Energy Vehicle Industry Development White Paper (2025) was released, outlining the city's progress toward becoming a next-generation world-class automotive hub.
The report noted that Shenzhen has built a new energy vehicle ecosystem supported by more than 2,000 companies across the industrial chain, forming an industrial cluster worth hundreds of billions of yuan. Policy support for the sector has also been improved.
This year's auto show introduced four new themed exhibition halls. The Legendary Supercar Hall featured a collection of high-performance sports cars, while the Classic Car Museum displayed nearly 100 vintage automobiles. The Off-Road and Outdoor Mobility Pavilion showcased diverse outdoor transportation scenarios, and the Automotive Stunt Performance Hall staged high-intensity vehicle demonstrations combining entertainment and technical skill.
The event also welcomed overseas buyer delegations from 16 countries, providing a platform for discussions on vehicle exports, procurement partnerships and technology cooperation.
Organizers said the exhibition helped strengthen international connections for China's automotive industry while creating new opportunities for global market expansion.
