Shenzhen Airport Ferry Terminal adds new route to Macao
On Sunday, Shenzhen Airport Group and Shun Tak Group jointly launched a new ferry service linking the Shenzhen Airport Ferry Terminal and Macao Outer Harbour Ferry Terminal, marking the start of deeper cooperation between the two sides in cross-border maritime transport.
The route is operated by Shun Tak-China Travel Ship Management Limited under Shun Tak Group. Each vessel can carry up to 388 passengers. During the initial phase, one round trip will be offered daily, with a one-way sailing time of about 70 minutes. Sailing frequency will be increased based on market demand.
Located about three kilometers from Terminal 3 of Shenzhen Airport, the ferry terminal enables smooth air-sea intermodal travel. "Passengers arriving in Shenzhen can conveniently transfer to the ferry and reach Macao with ease," said Liu Ke, deputy director of the Shenzhen Airport Ferry Terminal Passenger Transport Center.
Leveraging this new cooperation, the ferry terminal will advance upgrades to its waiting hall, passenger berths, and other facilities, further improving its public transport connections. The goal is to achieve seamless "sea–land–air" multimodal transport and enhance overall passenger flow efficiency.
