Luohu semiconductor firms showcase innovations at Bay Area Expo
The WESEMIBAY Bay Area Semiconductor Ecosystem Expo 2025 opened Oct. 15 in Shenzhen, with two semiconductor companies from Luohu district unveiling their latest flagship products.
Enrigin introduced its D10 AI inference card — the first domestically developed chip capable of deploying the large-parameter model DeepSeek-R1. With eight cards, the system can support DeepSeek-R1 671B quantized deployment. The chip also pioneers a fully localized workflow that integrates "advanced independent design, advanced manufacturing, and advanced packaging," filling a strategic gap in the security of China's AI chip supply chain.
Yspring, a Luohu-based fabless chip design company, showcased three core chip products targeting the smart home, industrial control, and motor sectors. Among them, its new sensor chip — a benchmark product in the photoelectric sensor market — features an upgraded wafer and packaging process that enhances performance by more than 30 percent while reducing costs by over 30 percent. This innovation has enabled Yspring to secure a leading market share in the optical mouse and security host markets.
In recent years, Luohu has stepped up support for strategic emerging industries such as semiconductors. Longtime local enterprise Hangshun Chip Technology R&D Co., Ltd. was listed among the Global Unicorn Index 2025 released by the Hurun Research Institute. In 2024 alone, Luohu added 125 enterprises using special and sophisticated technologies to produce novel and unique products, 95 national high-tech enterprises, and attracted a total of 880 new firms.
