Hong Kong and Macao youth explore innovation opportunities in Zhuhai
On June 20, the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area branch of the National Local Chronicles Museum hosted the "Zhuhai Tour for Master's and PhD Talent from Hong Kong and Macao," a two-day event under the "Million Talents Gather in Southern Guangdong" initiative.
The event brought together graduate students and young researchers in frontier fields such as computer science, artificial intelligence, microelectronics, advanced manufacturing, and smart cities. Aimed at strengthening practical cooperation, the initiative serves as a platform for Zhuhai, Hong Kong, and Macao to jointly attract talent, promote exchanges, and drive high-quality development.
To help participants gain a deeper understanding of Zhuhai’s environment and opportunities, the event featured a policy briefing that introduced the city’s comprehensive support system for Hong Kong and Macao youth in living, employment, and entrepreneurship. It also outlined the latest initiatives and service guarantees for talent recruitment and development.
During the exchange session, participants engaged in lively discussions on technological innovation, industrial cooperation, and career planning, exploring avenues for collaboration and mutual growth.
"Zhuhai’s strong momentum, sound talent policies, and vibrant innovation atmosphere are truly impressive," said Liu Jingwen, a PhD from Macao. "This event gave us a valuable opportunity to explore what Zhuhai has to offer. I hope it inspires more young people from Hong Kong and Macao to bring their talents here and realize their potential."
