1994
The Fisher Girls of Dapeng Bay won the Golden Prize at the 4th Galaxy Awards in 1994, breaking the previous record of Shenzhen city and Guangdong province through this national award.
November 1995
The Yayuan Flyover won the National Construction Project Luban Award in November 1995.
January 1997
The International Trade Center won the title of "Residential Community in Outstanding National Urban Property Management" in January 1997.
September 1997
"Story of the Spring", a song composed by Jiang Kairu, Ye Xuquan and Wang Yougui, who are all from Luohu district, won the 6th Five One Project Award. This award was given by the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee , in September 1997.
September 1999
"Walking into the New Era", a song composed by Peng Guihua and Jiang Kairu, won the 7th Five One Project Award in September 1999. This award was given by the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee.
2000
"Famous Reporter", a stage play, won the First Prize at the Cao Yu Drama Awards in 2000.
May 2007
A female chorale of the Huangbei sub-district won the first prize in the First Golden Lotus Flower International Chorus Competition in the Macao Special Administrative Region in May 2007.
May 2010
Comedy shows "Waiting, Growing, Environmental Protection" and music symphony "The Hakka Tunes" - all by creators from Luohu district - won the 15th Galaxy Award in May 2010. This accounted for half of the number of awards Shenzhen won in the competition.
December 2012
The Caiwuwei Central Financial District Construction Project of Luohu won the "Guangdong Province Habitable Environment Model Award" in December 2012.
August 2013
Luohu won the honorary title of “National Advanced District in Safety Construction” given by the then Central Committee for Comprehensive Management of Public Security in August 2013. Among all the districts in Shenzhen, only Luohu won the title.
September 2013
Luohu won the honorary title of “Model District of Famous Brand Making in the National Gold and Jewelry Industry” in September 2013.
September 2014
The Project “Big Love of Luohu” won The China Charity Outstanding Contribution (Project) Award given by the China Charity Federation in September 2014.
May 2015
In May 2015, “activated empowerment”, a project that was part of Luohu’s efforts to advance the rule of law in construction at the community level was recognized as one of the top 10 original achievements in China’s community-level governance in 2014. Luohuwas the only district towin the honor for two consecutive years.
June 2016
Luohu won the title “Model County (city) in Saving Land and Resources” given by the Ministry of Land and Resources in June 2016. Luohuwas the only district in Shenzhen to win the title.
June 2017
Luohu’s kitchen waste comprehensive use project won the “2016 Guangdong Province Habitable Environment Model Award” in June 2017.
December 2018
Luohu obtained the title “Model Area for National Ecological Civilization Construction” in December 2018.

The website of the Luohu district government won the first prize (county-level) in the evaluation of the performance of Chinese government websites for three years running in December 2018.

Luohu finished pilot work on the standardization and normalization of the national grassroots government affairs disclosure in December 2018, and was evaluated as one of the two excellent pilot units in Guangdong province.

Founded in March 1981, Shenzhen Property Management Company took the lead nationwide to end the old residential household management model.

The Shenzhen Branch of the Nanyang Commercial Bank, the first Hong Kong-funded bank that entered the Chinese mainland after 1949, opened in Luohu in January 1982.

Caiwuwei Hotel, the first three-star hotel funded by farmers, was built in Luohu in April 1983.

The construction of International Trade Centre, beginning in the early 1980s, created a national record for its speed as it took only three days to build one floor of the building.

A railway overpass of the Shenzhen Railway Station, built in September 1985, was then the longest railway overpass in the country.

As the first financial agency to handle the securities business in China, the Shenzhen Special Economic Zone Securities Company was founded in Luohu in September 1987.
