Luohu to be highlight of cultural industry fair: official
The Luohu district government held a biweekly on Sept 17 introducing the 17th China (Shenzhen) Cultural Industry Fair that will be held at the Shenzhen International Convention and Exhibition Center in the district from Sept 23 to Sept 27.
According to Xue Jiang, director of the Luohu culture, radio, film, tourism, and sports bureau, Luohu has a 546-square-meter booth that is divided into six sub-venues where more than 40 activities will be carried out.
Compared with the fair in 2019, Luohu’s exhibition space has nearly doubled, said Xue. Luohu’s booth is located in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Pavilion at the No. 12 Hall of the convention and exhibition center.
Cultural and creative industry has become one of the important characteristic industries of Luohu, Xue said.
Data show that by the end of last year, there were more than 500 enterprises in Luohu involved in the cultural industry, whose annual main business revenue each is above 20 million yuan ($3.09 million). These enterprises’ total revenue is worth more than 70 billion yuan a year.
There are 10 cultural industrial parks in Luohu, including two national-level industrial parks, one provincial-level industrial park, and seven municipal-level industrial parks.
At present, Luohu’s cultural industry mainly consists of the digital creative industry, the arts and crafts industry, the gold and jewelry industry, the creative design industry, the art auction industry, and the copyright industry, said Xue.
According to him, among these industries, with their numerous leading enterprises, the digital creative industry has a solid foundation for high-quality development. Luohu also leads the country in the building of an arts and crafts cluster area and a developing gold and jewelry industry.
He added that the development of the creative design industry, the art auction industry, and the copyright industry in Luohu is accelerating.
All of these industries will be highlights of Luohu’s exhibition at the upcoming fair, Xue noted.
For the exhibition, many Luohu companies plan to offer discounts for their products, he added.
