Luohu pledges to normalize its COVID-19 pandemic control and prevention work
The Luohu District of Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) convened a meeting on Oct. 26 to study the contents of the Guangdong provincial and Shenzhen municipal governments’ recent meeting on COVID-19 pandemic control and prevention.
Participants also listened to a report on pandemic control work in Luohu, and made arrangements for the next phase.
Luohu Party chief Luo Yude, who is also head of the district’s pandemic control work leading team, presided.
The meeting stressed that all Party members and civil servants in Luohu should properly complete the work related to the 13th Five-Year Plan (2016-20) and the drafting of the 14th Five-Year Plan (2021-25); they should strictly follow the arrangements of the CPC Central Committee and the CPC Shenzhen Committee, adhere to a problem-oriented work style, focus on weak points and try their best to resolve problems regarding development; they should grasp the opportunities of reform, focus on important strategies related to the district’s long-term development, build key platform projects influential to the whole district and actively attract fresh projects related to various industries, infrastructural facilities and the people’s livelihood.
The conference especially urged all Party members and civil servants of Luohu to improve people’s wellbeing and ensure the people have a stronger and more lasting sense of happiness, gain and security.
Luohu should deepen its education reform to realize balanced development of the sector, try its best to increase the supply of pre-school education resources, create high-quality compulsory education facilities and optimize education resources distribution.
Luohu should increase its supply of services regarding culture, sport and education, build a batch of high-level public cultural and sport facilities, and strive to make the district’s cultural creative industry and tourism industry more competitive.
The district should continue to deepen its medical care reform to realize a complete guarantee of people’s health, and make Luohu a role model of a healthy China.
The meeting stressed that Luohu should continuously strengthen its pandemic control and prevention work, and guard against imported cases and a domestic rebound, strengthen supervision over pandemic control work in agricultural produce markets, cold chains, restaurants, food processing factories and shopping malls so as to ensure all foods sold in Luohu, particularly imported frozen foods, are safe.
Luohu should implement a completely closed-cycle management of inbound visitors, further optimize management of its quarantine zone and strictly implement an accountability system; the district should normalize its pandemic control work with the impending onset of winter, strengthen management of the people coming from outside of Shenzhen, promote the roles of fever clinics, while drugstores as “outposts” and be on alert to the risk of COVID-19 overlapping with other epidemic diseases.
