Luohu calls for breakthroughs in reform

A conference organized by Luohu district in Shenzhen was held on Oct. 21. Luo Yude, secretary of the Luohu District CPC Committee presided over the conference and delivered a speech, while Zhou Yichuan, the district’s deputy Party chief, also gave a speech during the meeting. Representatives of departments of the Luohu government, other political parties and state-owned enterprises attended the meeting. Officials from all sub-district offices also took part through parallel video meetings.
The meeting emphasized that all officials should recognize the importance of continuously deepening reform so as to underscore Luohu’s roles as a pioneer of reform and a port hub between Guangdong and Hong Kong. Officials should make breakthroughs in reforms.
During the meeting, officials in the district were urged to unswervingly implement new development concepts and accelerate the construction of a modern economic system. Luohu should improve its development quality, business environment and city governance through reforms, deepen its opening-up, and make efforts to integrate the country’s overall opening-up strategies. It should further improve its grassroots governance system and governing ability to develop more local experience, firmly adhere to people-centered development, and expedite the formation of a development model in which all people have a part to play and share in the fruits of development.
It was also decided that Luohu should firmly grasp both material and spiritual civilization development at the same time, as well as unswervingly strengthen overall Party leadership and development.
The meeting emphasized that the district should conduct research to identify practical problems hindering its development, and make the 14th Five-Year Plan (2021-25) more targeted and pertinent to its needs. Luohu should ensure all of the aforementioned tasks are fulfilled properly and produce their desired effects.
