Luohu education delegation’s productive visit to Longlin
Yin Gang, chief of Luohu Education Bureau, led a delegation visit to Longlin Various Nationalities autonomous county, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, from Sept. 24-25.
The delegation consisted of Yin Xianming, a researcher at Luohu Education Bureau, Yang Lixin, chair of the labor union of Luohu Education Bureau, Ma Aihua, director of the personnel section of Luohu Education Bureau, as well as headmasters and deputy headmasters of schools in Luohu.
The delegation came to Longlin to do research on education assistance work in Longlin.
On the evening of Sept. 24, the delegation visited nine teachers from Luohu who came to Longlin to assist the local education cause. The delegation members inquired about the teachers’ life and work conditions and extended their gratitude to the teachers for their hard work.

On the morning of Sept 25, the delegation paid an inspection tour to the Longlin Luohu Kindergarten, which was built with funding of more than 20 million yuan ($2.93 million) from Luohu.

Yin Gang listened to a report by Liu Yuanying, who came to work as deputy principal of the kindergarten from Luohu, on the operation of the kindergarten and how Luohu’s education assistance program has worked out in Longlin. Yin also provided suggestions on how Luohu can further help Longlin in education.
After that, a meeting was held in the Ethnic Custom and Culture Exhibition Center of the Longlin government on Luohu’s education assistance to Longlin, which was presided over by Yang Shengqi, the education bureau chief of Longlin.
In the meeting, Yang introduced the development of Longlin’s education with the help of Luohu through funding and sending teachers to Longlin.
Wei Jinxin, the headmaster of the Longlin No. 6 Primary School, made a speech. He thanked Luohu teachers for improving educational quality by a large margin that looks set to benefit the students in the long run.
Yin Gang pointed out that it is a shared mission for Luohu and Longlin to promote the fast development of education, although tasks and the tests awaiting them are different.
He hoped that the Luohu teachers can raise their awareness of the importance of combining their experience and concepts with local practical conditions in order to give full play to education’s role as a bridge connecting Luohu and Longlin.
Yin also proposed the “Leading Eagle Plan” to strengthen exchanges between education researchers, headmasters and civil servants of education sectors from the two places to realize win-win development.

Participants of the meeting said that the delegation’s visit has consolidated their confidence that education will not only become a new cooperation field for Luohu and Longlin but it will also play an increasingly important role in poverty alleviation and promoting development in Longlin.
