Luohu traces a close contact case
Shenzhen saw a new asymptomatic case of COVID-19 on Dec. 2, which proved to be a close contact of a case, who was found to be a truck driver shuttling between Shenzhen and Hong Kong that emerged the day before.
Surnamed Yang, the person lives in the No. 146 building in the south of the Sungang village in Luohu.
According to the pandemic control and prevention regulation, all residents in the area received a nucleic acid test for the virus on the night of Dec. 2. A total of 2,913 samples were collected in four hours, together with 27 environmental samples. All of them proved negative.
All residents of 102 families living on the same building with Yang were quarantined at home.
The Luohu government said it would keep the public informed of the progress of its pandemic control work. It reminded everyone to take all necessary measures for self-protection, while appreciating their support.
